About us

Who are we?

The Norwegian Digital Learning Arena (NDLA) is Norway’s leading producer of digital learning resources for upper secondary education. Our platform consists of 20,000 learning resources covering 143 examination subjects.

NDLA staff members have documented professional communication skills and digital expertise, and many of them work in upper secondary schools alongside their work at NDLA. This ties them directly to everyday school life, enabling the possibility to determine the best ways to create engaging and informative resources.

NDLA wants to be a team player and partner in the development of open resources and technology in Norway and the world. Open learning resources are characterized by the fact that they are available with an open license that gives teachers, students and everyone else the right to use them. Open licenses provide the opportunity to share, use, create, modify and re-distribute learning resources, and give us in the world community the opportunity for lifelong learning.
