Perform:

Work in groups.

Choose one of the tasks and write a short play.

Rehearse and perform the play before the teacher and another group. If you prefer, the performance may be handed in as a film or audio recording.

The main character is provided in the task; you have to invent the rest.

  1. The Prime Minister is facing a scandal. You are a young Member of Parliament from the PM's party and you are asked to lie to save their reputation.

  2. You are a Member of Parliament who wants to get attention to build your reputation and achieve a position of power, but you are clumsy in the way you seek to draw attention to yourself.

  3. You are a journalist. You don't have much patience and you bore easily. You have been assigned by your editor to cover debates in Parliament.
