H5P

H5P is a library of interactive content types that you can run for free in web-based systems as WordPress, Drupal, and Moodle. In this guide, however, we will be using Lumi. With the Lumi app you can create interactive content locally on your computer.

Since Lumi and H5P are not parts of NDLA, we do not take responsibility for the use of these tools outside our own platform. Make sure that the use of these applications follow GDPR and other guidelines in your organization.

Follow these steps to start creating your own digital escape rooms:

  1. Download and install Lumi.

  2. Download the H5P content type NDLA Virtual Tour (360). The name of the file is NDLA VT360 v0.4.98.h5p (2,48 MB).

  3. Launch Lumi.

  4. Click the gear symbol to open the settings.

  5. Click on H5P Libraries. Upload the file NDLA VT360 v0.4.98.h5p to install the content type in Lumi.

  6. Go back and choose H5P Editor and Create new H5P.

  7. Choose NDLA Virtual Tour (360) from the list. You can now start making you own digital escape room.
