Today, there is no clear-cut divide between old media, also called 'legacy media', and new media. Newspapers have made the transition to the internet and have absorbed content from bloggers, Twitter, Instagram and other social media. TV channels have a strong social media presence and a lot of the advertising we are exposed to every day reach us through influencers and social media ads. There is no longer a strong division between the professional and the private when it comes to delivering media content.
