The Name Game

This little game will work as a ”first time meeting” with a new class.

1. Hand out a piece of paper to each of the pupils, and instruct them to write their first name on it.
2. Collect the papers, shuffle them and hand them out again in random order.
3. Ask one of the students to read the name on his/her piece of paper.
4. Ask the student: Do you know who it is?

• If yes – describe him / her to us (Makes it a bit difficult…)
• If no – ask for help from somebody who knows. (There usually is…)

When the person is found, write the name on the blackboard – maybe in a map-order. Then this person can get additional questions (hobbies, family, pets…) before he/she gets to read the name on her piece of paper, and start looking for the next person.

As you go along, make small revisions to keep the attention of those who have been found. Check the list on the blackboard all the time. In the end you will have all the names on the blackboard, everyone has been introduced.
